The multi-use way to prevent and protect against fire
Cameleon Fire Blankets are now supplied in the UK by Tri-Sphere. Fire blankets are often the best way to tackle the initial stages of a vehicle fire involving a vehicle manufactured from a multi-material-mix of components. Generally, these comprise of materials such as aluminium, steels, carbon fibres and reinforced plastics.
A special feature of Cameleon Fire Blankets is an optional soft, fire-resistant underside that will not scratch the paint. They are often used to cover the vehicle at the scene, as a precaution against the spread of fire.
Standard fire protection blankets may extinguish conventional fires in seconds, but lithium-based fires and those involving fossil fuels are very different propositions. Cameleon Fire Blankets are supplied in 6 x 8 metre sizes (48 sqm) and are designed to supress EV fires for longer periods. Special features include:
- Tested for safety up to 1600 deg C
- Tested to meet ISO EN 13501-1
The size of these blankets makes them ideal for use as a fire sail, to suppress flames. Their durability makes them suitable for use on many different occasions
