TRM16 Hydraulic Lifts Ideal for EV and Hybrid Car Battery Maintenance

Tri-Sphere is adding two new mobile TRM16 hydraulic lifts to the Garage Equipment products range.

Hydraulic lifts ease electric car battery management in garages and bodyshops

These TRM16 hydraulic lifts have been developed to manage the safe, efficient and ergonomic removal or installation of car batteries from hybrids and electric vehicles. A 1.0 tonne lifting capacity option or a 1.6 tonne lifting capacity option is available.

Both TRM16 hydraulic lift options are designed to be used in conjunction with a base-free 2-post lift, which improves workshop efficiency.

TRM16 hydraulic lift benefits include

•  Full lifting height of 187cm (few alternative brands offer a full height specification). TRM16 hydraulic lift users can complete all EV battery removal procedures and every re-installation operation with ease, which is a more ergonomic and comfortable way of working
• Battery parking-stands are available as an option. Consequently, once removed, EV batteries can be stowed in safety, while the lift is being used to support other workshop lifting activities
• Each TRM16 hydraulic lift option is supplied with a remote control, which facilitates individual operation allowing technicians to complete tasks unassisted

Swivel casters

Four locking swivel casters provide the following operational advantages:

• Mobility
• Manoeuvrability
• Stability

Once released from the hybrid or EV, the battery rests on four pads. If the Typical operational timings are 20 seconds (lifting) and 30 seconds (lowering). Each lift is designed to run on a 24V circuit and is powered by a 2.6kW electric motor.

TRM16 car battery lifts are versatile. With extra tooling kits, each lift can be used to support a wider range of workshop and bodyshop lifting operations including:

• Removal/installation of gearboxes/engines
• Use as a vehicle tyre carrier
