How the Scheibner Mega-m.a.x Works

The Mega-m.a.x is secured to the damaged bike at the swing arm.

Two cameras, in fixed positions on the Mega-m.a.x measuring bracket, provide the baseline data. A target sensor is then attached to the headstock. This means that any movement of the handlebars generates information. The on-board software uses this to calculate the precise angle of misalignment for the head stock angle, length, height and camber.

All of the bike data is then downloaded to a P. There, it is compared to the original bike specifications. An on-screen display provides a visual appraisal of the extent of the damage. Alternatively, it provides confirmation that the frame is in true alignment in relation to the original bike specification.

Twenty minute check

In about 20 minutes, the workshop has all the information required to give an accurate of the condition of the frame and swing arm, including the rear sub-frame. It provides the opportunity to carry out more repairs on more bikes. Insurers are happy to accept a Mega-MAX Certificate as evidence of the viability of a repair.

The Mega-m.a.x software manages the data and provides the accuracy and consistency that’s essential.

Used in conjunction with an appropriate jig system, such as the MotoJig, the Mega-m.a.x ensures repair work can proceed more speedily and allows many more bikes to be restored to the original factory alignment.
