Bi-Gas Plastic Welding System

Introducing the Bi-Gas Plastic Welding System, from Tri-Sphere. It makes the repair of plastic bodywork quick, easy and very strong.

The Bi-Gas machine features a built-in nitrogen membrane generator and is equipped with an outdoor temperature self-regulating system. It is ideal for the repair of a wide range of automotive plastics used for interior and exterior fixtures and fittings.

The Bi-Gas Plastic Welding system is fuelled by either nitrogen (N2) or air, according to the specialist needs of the vehicle/repairer. There are two different flow controllers and both fuel sources use the same, easy to handle, gas welding gun. A heating gun for applying metal staples is also included.

Using the Bi-Gas Welding System

The system works from either manual settings or a range of Presets.

If using the manual settings, press the Air or Gas button to start the machine. The button turns green. ‘On’ is displayed. choose an appropriate working temperature and air/gas flow rate. Use the ‘Set Point’ button to amend the selection. The temperature selected is displayed on the right.

Once the operating temperature has been reached, you can set the air/gas flow rate. A typical flow rate of 20% is recommended, but this can be adjusted to suit local conditions. The repair can now commence.

There is an Easy Fix mode, which involves the heated staple gun. Select Easy Fix mode. Insert the staple into the gun. Press the start button on the gun. Apply the staple. The temperature is set automatically. No adjustments are required. Switch off the machine, by setting the side switch to ‘0’.

Switch off the machine by re-pressing the same Air or Gas button. ‘Off’ is displayed. The cooling off process protects the resistance inside the gun. This takes about 90 seconds. Switch off the machine from the master switch.

Access to the Presets menu is only possible when the Air and Gas buttons are in the ‘Off’ position. Press the ‘Gear’ of ‘Cog’ symbol. Select ‘Pre-sets’
